Thank you so much! It was so much better and so damn fun! I can't give away any spoilers, but the next part is outlined and just needs written up and should get posted soon 😊
So glad you're having a better time with Cairn now! How are you finding the Chaos Factor system with Mythic with it? I have strayed away from using it in my games, but you've intrigued me now. Great write up btw!
Thank you! So far the Chaos Factor hasn't played a huge role in dice rolls, but I've found it's a reminder of the stakes in Mannog's situations. My non-Fate Check related decisions have been a little more thoughtfully executed. I look at it almost like an adrenaline meter for narration (that I've been getting better about speaking aloud during sessions haha)
Came here from Reddit. Nice session #1. Remember to be relaxed. Remember oracle is for you, not other way around. It just gives you some creative fuel and spark interesting ideas you explore. It is your game. Play it, don't perform it for readers. Internet is full of performers. Be yourself. Thank you for sharing your game with us. Waiting for more.
I completely agree. Solo play is for you and no one else, the fact you post about it is great for others to enjoy but do not focus on that as a reason to play. I cannot tell you how many times my solo play was disrupted when thoughts of 'how will this be viewed' or 'what will they think' floated into my mind.
Be yourself, play how you want, even bend the rules if it feels right to you, and the bottom line is "You have fun!"
Great story! How did you like this play through? Was it better this time? I personally hope Mannog saves the girl. Maybe he can regain some standing in society.
